The Moonridge
Animal Park will host their 2nd Annual Photography Contest, with this year
they are adding the
opportunity for photo contest entrants to have pre-contest tour of the
park and receive photography tips from Maui Photographer Lee Guthrie (www.eelproductions.biz).
Lee will be offering a pre-contest orientation of the zoo and share her
methods for photographing the animals and the zoo. The pre-contest
tour and tips starts at 8:30AM and is offered at no additional cost.
The entry fee is $15.00 for
adults and $10.00 for children. The price includes regular admission
into the Moonridge Animal Park. The photo contest hours are 10:00 AM to
4:00 PM, with registration between 8:30AM to 12:00 Noon. You can enter
the contest at one of five levels of skill: Novice, Intermediate,
Advance, or Professional, plus a child level. Winners in each category
will have their pictures placed in a professionally designed 16 month
2009 calendar. Winners will receive two copies of the calendar as a
thank you for supporting the Moonridge Animal Park.
For this year, the photography
shooting theme is “People enjoying themselves around the animals in the
Moonridge Animal Park.” So the picture need not be of just animals but
of park visitors and event the animal keepers too.
Throughout the day animals will
be brought out to the presentation green for special photo
opportunities. For more event details, contest rules and view last
