Old Miner’s Days are comin’ to Big Bear!

 

   The Bear Valley Old Miner’s Days is a month’s worth of fun and activities with a Chili Cook-off, Logger’s Jubilee, Horseshoe Tournament, Children’s Events, and of course, the very popular Old Miners’ Days Parade. Old Miner’s Days was established in 1949 and for over 50 years, Big Bear celebrates it mining town roots, Big Bear Valley has a rich history of logging, ranching, and mining that has made the mountain valley a historical treasure for California. With its numerous abandoned mines, ghost towns, romantic and notorious legends, heroes and villains, Big Bear takes to heart its past by celebrating it every summer through Old Miner’s Days, with an emphasis on the quirky, zany, and fun!

   Old Miner’s Day is a non-profit organization and prides itself on continuing it’s humble beginning.

Horseshoe Tournament, August 2nd
