Big Bear
skiing & snowboard discounts
Weekends are now more affordable for
skiers and snowboarders. For the first time ever Big Bear Lake Resort
Association gives its guests an opportunity to save money on discounted room
rates and lift tickets on the weekends.
The new weekend deals are a spin-off of
Big Bear’s Midweek Lift and Lodging Packages, which are once again active
with rates starting as low as $69 per person per night, with double
occupancy. Weekend Lift and Lodging Packages are from $89 per person, per
night, with double occupancy and require a minimum of two nights lodging and
two days of lift tickets. Lift and Lodging packages include discounted
lodging at one of Big Bear’s participating lodges and discounted, all-day,
interchangeable lift tickets good for both Snow Summit and Bear Mountain.
Lift tickets include complimentary shuttle service between both resorts.
“This winter Big Bear is affordable seven
days a week!” said Big Bear Lake Resort Association CEO Rick Shoup. “Simply
pick and choose which day you want to save money on skiing and lodging, then
give us a call or book your trip online at BigBear.com.”
Skiers and snowboarders play on the slopes
all day at Snow Summit and Bear Mountain, and relax all night in the
comforts of a cozy cabin or lodge. Big Bear Lake is unique from other
Southern California ski resorts because of its wide variety of alpine-style
lodging accommodations that fit every lifestyle and budget. Choices range
from full service hotels to charming bed & breakfasts, private homes, cozy
condos and rustic cabins. Whether it’s at the base of the slopes, lakefront,
in the village, or countryside, every lodge in Big Bear creates a warm and
inviting atmosphere.
“We want to make sure we provide the best
possible deals during these rocky economic times, so people can getaway for
a few days and have fun on the slopes,” added Shoup. During these economic
times it makes sense to plan for a winter vacation within a reasonable
driving distance, rather than paying outrageous prices on airfare and
luggage fees to a faraway destination. Big Bear Lake, Southern California's
premier ski and snowboard destination, is an easy two-hour drive from most
Southland cities and only three hours from Las Vegas. Big Bear has quality
snow and is a close by and affordable alternative to places like Tahoe, Utah
or Colorado.
Lift and Lodging Packages are not valid on
holidays. The discounted packages are good for any time of the week starting
November 30, 2009 to the end of the 2009/2010 season. Price is per person,
per night based on double occupancy, and subject to availability. Minimum of
two nights of lodging and two days lift tickets for weekend packages are
required. At least half of the guests in the party must purchase lift
tickets for the weekend packages. Lift ticket vouchers and lodging discounts
are not valid during the holiday periods; December 19, 2009 – January 3,
2010; January 16-18, 2010; and February 13-15, 2010. Dates are subject to
change. Other restrictions may apply. For more details about these great
discounted packages, log onto
www.bigbear.com or call 1-800-424-4232.
